The student toolbar/tools is located at the top of the slide (see screenshot):
Magnifying Glasses
This tool helps you zoom in and out.
Use the - magnifying glass to zoom out or the + magnifying glass to zoom in.
Selector Tool
- to choose answers in Classkick for a multiple-choice question.
- to click on links to videos or external websites.
- to tap into the fill-in-the-blank boxes.
- scroll up and down on a given slide.
Pen Tool
You can use the pen tool to write or draw! You can use your finger or a stylus/Apple pen (iPad, Chromebook touch) or even use a mouse on web! You can also use a variety of colors!
When you click on the pen tool, look to the far right of the toolbar. Click on the pencil to select other colors (see screenshot):
Click on the icon with 3 lines right next to it to change how thick the writing is (see screenshot):
Highlighter Tool
You can use the highlighter tool to highlight text just like on paper! You can also use it to draw!
When you click on the highlighter tool, look to the far right of the toolbar. Click on the pencil to select other colors (see screenshot):

Eraser Tool
Click on the eraser tool and then click on the area you want to erase from Classkick! This can be used to erase something that you have drawn or written that you no longer want!
Text Box
The text box allows you to type out answers. Simply click the Text Box icon, click to insert the text box on your screen, then start typing!
You can change the text color, text box background color, and text box border color as well. When you click on the text box, extra icons will appear to the right to help you change the colors! See the screenshots below.
You can also highlight the text and click the icons to make the text bigger or smaller!
Line Tool
The straight line tool allows you to create a straight line with different widths and colors.
Click on the line tool and then click to insert it on the slide. Once it is on the slide, you can change the line color and thickness (see screenshots below):

Link Tool
You can use the link tool to link to a video or a website you want to show your teacher! Simply click the link tool, title it, and add the link.
In order to click the link, you must be on the Selector Tool.

Camera Tool
As a student, you can upload images and PDF files to Classkick using the camera tool.
You can also use the camera tool as an actual camera - take a photo and upload it onto your slide.
Click on the camera tool and then click on "Upload from computer" or "Camera."
If you are looking to enable access to Classkick so that the camera feature works, please click HERE.
PLEASE NOTE: "Add another" means you can add more images from the current file only. It does NOT mean you can upload another file at this time. If you have another file to upload, you must insert the current image/file first.
Audio Tool
You can use the audio tool to record yourself speaking OR to upload an MP3 audio recording!
Click on the microphone icon. Doing this will bring up a popup to the right of your slide (see screenshot).
To record your voice: Press 'start recording', record your voice, and then press stop. The recording will immediately pop up on the slide.
To upload an MP3 file: Click "Select File"
While there isn't officially a time limit for these recordings, Classkick recommends only doing a couple of minutes at a time.

PLEASE NOTE: sometimes, students may not be able to use the microphone for multiple apps at once (e.g. Zoom/Google Meet AND Classkick).
