The Highlighter Tool allows teachers and students to highlight text on a slide, just like using a highlighter on paper.
Use it to:
Emphasize key information
Model close reading strategies
Mark evidence in passages
Provide visual feedback on student work
1) Use the Highlighter Tool
To use the Highlighter tool,
1. Click the Highlighter Mode icon.
2. Click and drag across the slide to highlight.
2) Change Highlighter Color
To Change the Highlighter Color:
With the Highlighter tool selected,
1. Click the Color icon.
2. Choose a preset color.
Create a Custom Color:
Click + under Custom Colors.
Select a color or enter an RGB value.
Click to apply.
Changes apply immediately.
3) Adjust Highlighter Width
You can change how thick the highlight appears.
To change the width,
1. With the highlighter tool selected, click on the Highlighter Width icon.
Use the Width slider, or
Enter a number in the Pixel (px) box.
The preview shows how thick the highlighter will appear.
Changing the width is helpful when:
Highlighting small text
Marking large blocks of content
Modeling annotations on projected slides
