The Assign tab includes several settings you can turn on or off for an assignment:
Points, Helpers, Hide, Lock, and PDFs.
A green toggle means the feature is ON.
A gray toggle means the feature is OFF.
For iOS:
Click on Filters, to see each of the assignment options.
Click on the headers below to learn more.
1) Points
Turn Points on to allow students to see their score/grade and whether their answers are correct.
Turn Points off if you do not want students to see grades.
If Points is on, students can continue changing answers until they see their answer is correct.
To prevent this, turn Lock on instead.
See our help article on auto-grading features for more information.
2) Peer Helpers
Turn Peer Helpers on to allow student collaboration.
When a student raises their hand, another student on the same roster can join the assignment to help.
Learn more about the Peer Helpers feature in this article.
3) Hide
Turn Hide on to hide an assignment from students so they no longer see it or access it.
IMPORTANT: This feature is not immediate.
Students must exit the assignment before it becomes hidden.
Students already inside the assignment will continue to have access until they exit.
If you are hiding slides for specific students, or looking to hide specific slides:
4) Lock
Turn Lock on to allow students to view an assignment but not edit their work.
This feature is immediate: students cannot edit as soon as Lock is enabled.
Use Lock when:
You want students to stop editing
You want students to review work only
You want to finalize submissions
5) PDFs
Teachers can control whether students can export their work to PDF.
Toggle ON → Students can export PDFs
Toggle OFF → Students cannot export PDFs
