Classkick provides several tools for grading student work and giving real-time feedback.
1) Auto-Grading
Auto-grading allows you to set correct answers and assign point values. As soon as a student submits a response, Classkick automatically scores it.
Currently, auto-grading is available for:
How Scores Appear:
In a Student's Slide:
Correct answers appear in green
Incorrect answers appear in red
Total points are displayed at the top
In View Work (class overview):
Red = Score below 60%
Orange = Score between 60–80%
Green = Score above 80%
In the View Work tab, total points for the assignment and total points for the slide are shown.
NOTE: You can control whether students see their scores by turning the Points toggle on or off under the Assign tab.

2) Manual Grading
Teachers can review student work and assign scores manually.
Manual grading is useful for assignments with drawings, written responses, or open-ended answers.
To manually grade student work:
1. Open the assignment.
2. Click View Work.
3. Select the student and slide you want to review.
4. Enter points in the Points field at the top of the slide.
Scores update automatically in the assignment overview.
Teachers can also provide feedback by:
• Leaving written feedback with the Text Box tool
• Annotating student work with the Pen or Highlighter
• Adding stickers to provide quick feedback or points
Manual grading allows teachers to evaluate student thinking beyond auto-graded responses.
3) Student Overview
The Student Overview allows teachers to view an individual student’s complete activity and performance across assignments.
This helps provide a clearer picture of student progress.
The Student Overview includes:
Slides viewed
Grades
Raised hand notifications
To View a Student Overview:
1. Click Rosters & Co-Teachers.
2. Select the roster you want to view.
3. Click on the Students tab.
4. Click a student’s name.
5. The Student Overview dashboard will open.
6. Use the Search bar to view a specific assignment.
From the Student Overview, click on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner and you can:
- Edit User: Edit the student information
- Export Student Work to PDF: Export work for this specific student.
- Export Points to CSV: Export points for assignments for this specific student.
- Export Answers: Export answers to assignments for this specific student.
4) Feedback Tools on Student Slides
The tools allow you to provide direct feedback on student slides.
- Write on student work with the pen or text box tool.
- Use the highlighter tool to draw students' attention or annotate.
- Voice record directions or feedback to explain something to a student.
- Upload an image to provide support for visual learners.
- Provide a link to more information.
These tools help personalize feedback directly on student work.
5) Stickers
Stickers provide a quick and engaging way to give feedback.
You can:
Add encouraging visuals
Use point-based stickers to streamline grading
Reinforce positive work habits

6) Chat Feature
The chat feature allows teachers and students to communicate in real time.
Teachers can:
Respond to student questions
Provide 1:1 feedback
Teacher Notifications:
When a student raises their hand or sends a message, you’ll see a green notification:
On the Assignments dashboard
In View Work
Assignments Dashboard:
The notification number shows how many students need help.
NOTE: The notification for a raised hand and a chat is the same.
View Work Mode:
In View Work mode, you will see the notification in the top right-hand corner.
- The number shows how many students have asked for help.
- This notification for a raised hand and a chat is the same.
In individual student slides, icons indicate whether a student has raised their hand or sent a chat message.
Student View:
Students can request help directly from their slide.
1. Click the Raise Hand icon.
2. The Help Center window opens with three options:

3. Students can also type a private message in the chat box.
