Gradebook Sync - FAQs

1) If we’ve already been using Classkick this year, what happens when we enable the integration?

  • There is no automatic syncing of assignments or grades.
  • Syncing is always controlled by the teacher.
  • Teachers choose when to sync grades for each assignment.
  • Previously completed assignments can be synced manually, if needed.

Nothing will duplicate automatically when the integration is enabled.

2) If our LMS sends student data, will it match existing Classkick data?

  • LMS matching happens only when sending grades, not for account creation.
  • The LMS matches students to the Classkick assignment roster.
  • The grade sync from Classkick via Edlink matches the assignment within the LMS only to pass the grades. If there is no match, Classkick will inform the teacher an error dialog.
    • The teacher must correct the mismatch in either Classkick or the LMS.

Will it create duplicate accounts?

  • No. Gradebook Sync does not create accounts in Classkick.
  • Unmatched students simply won’t receive grades until they are matched — duplicate accounts are not created.

3) If we only have a few schools in the district using Classkick, can we set up the gradebook integration?

  • Absolutely!

4) As the admin in our LMS and Classkick, I completed Edlink onboarding, but teachers are still being prompted to request access. What should I do?
