Students can raise their hand in Classkick to: ask for help, let their teacher know they’ve finished an assignment, or send their teacher a private message.
1) View Raised Hands and Chats
When students raise their hand or send a chat, you will receive a notification on your dashboard.
On the teacher dashboard:
1. Click the green number icon.
The number shows how many students have raised their hand or sent a message..
- EXAMPLE: In the screenshot below, we can see that 1 student has either sent a chat or raised their hand).
NOTE: The notification for a raised hand and a chat is the same on the dashboard.
In the assignment:
1. Open the assignment and click View Work.
1. Click the Help Inbox icon in the top-right corner.
This will show all raised hands and chat messages in one place.
How to Tell the Difference:
The individual student slides will differentiate whether a student has raised their hand or sent you a chat message.

NOTE: If raised hands are not appearing, you may have more than 350 assignments.
We hide this feature on web when a teacher has reached over 350 assignments to help with loading. If you delete older assignments, raised hands will appear again.

2) Student Directions
To raise their hand:
1. Students click the Raise Hand icon.
2. The Help Center window pops up.
3. Students select one of the following:
- Please Help
- Please Check
- Chat with Teacher
- Or simply type a private message to you in the Type message here... box at the bottom.
