Students can raise their hands in Classkick to ask for help, notify the teacher that they have completed an assignment, or ask for feedback.
Everything is done in real-time, so we do not have an official "turn in work" or "submit" button. We have seen teachers use this feature as a way for students to let the teacher that know their work is done!
When students raise their hand or send a chat, you will get notified!
On the teacher dashboard, there will be a green notification with a number. The number signifies how many students have asked for help (in the screenshot below, we can see that 1 student has either sent a chat OR raised their hand).
PLEASE NOTE: The notification for a raised hand and a chat is the same.
If you are IN the assignment, you will see the notification in the top right-hand corner. In the screenshot below, there are two students who asked for help.
The hand notification will not differentiate whether it is a raised hand or a chat.
When you look at the student slides, you can see the icons do differentiate whether it is a chat or a raised hand.
To raise their hands:
1) Students will click on the hand icon in the top-right corner of their canvas.
2) When they raise their hand, they will see the hand raise and chat feature.
Students can then click on "Please Help," "Please Check," or type a private message to you where it says "Type message here.."
