There are several ways to create assignments in Classkick! Whether you’re starting from scratch, uploading a file, or using ready-made content.
After an assignment is created, you can continue to add and delete slides as well as add additional PDFs/PDF pages using the camera tool.
You can create an assignment by:
- Starting from scratch
- Uploading a file (PDF, images)
- Copying from the Assignment Library
- Importing from Google Slides or other files
- Copying from a colleague
1) Create a Blank Assignment
Start from scratch and build your own lesson.
1. In All Assignments, click the green + CREATE NEW icon.
2. Click New Blank Assignment.
3. Customize your slides using:
- Backgrounds
- Text, drawings, and other tools

2) Upload an Existing File (PDF, Images, etc.)
Turn your existing materials into an interactive assignment.
1. In All Assignments, click the green + CREATE NEW icon.
2. Click Create From File (BMP, GIF, JPG/JPEG, PDF, PNG).
3. Select the correct file and click Open.
4. Click Import All Pages or select which sections you wish to import.
5. Click FINISH if importing all pages, click NEXT if choosing slide by slide.
NOTE:
To upload multiple PDF pages from the same file, click ADD ANOTHER before clicking FINISH.
If you want to upload a different file, you must finish inserting the current file first.

If you experience any issues importing your PDF file:
- Open your original PDF document in your PDF viewer.
- Re-export the document as a new PDF.
- Upload the new document in Classkick.
3) Copy from the Assignment Library
Use ready-made assignments created by other teachers.
1. In All Assignments, click the green + CREATE NEW icon.
2. Click Browse Assignment Library.
3. Search or browse by subject and grade.
4. Select an assignment and click COPY ASSIGNMENT to add it to your own assignment dashboard.
Pro Schools: If you are part of a Pro School or District, you will have access to a shared school Assignment Library with assignments created by other teachers in your organization.
Click on your school name to switch to the public Assignment Library or to switch to another school if you are part of multiple schools.

4) Import from Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Word
You can import files to quickly create assignments.
Google Drive on iOS:
1. In Assignments, tap the + CREATE NEW icon.
2. Click Create From File.
3. In Locations, tap Drive.
4. Select the correct Google Slides file.
5. Name your assignment and click DONE
Google Drive on web:
1. In All Assignments, click the + CREATE NEW button.
2. Click Import from Google Drive.
- A popup may appear prompting you to log into your Google account.
3. Click the correct file and click Select.
4. Click Next to import the entire page or drag to select the section you wish to import.
5. Click Add Another if you need to add another page from the same assignment.
6. Click Finish when done selecting the pages.
PowerPoint or Word on iOS:
1. In Assignments, tap the + CREATE NEW icon.
2. Click Create From File.
3. Select your file.
4. Name your assignment and click DONE.
NOTE: PowerPoint and Word files are not supported on web. To use them on web, first save your file as a PDF, then upload it.
NOTE: Each file page becomes a slide in your assignment
5) Copy and paste an assignment from a colleague
You can duplicate assignments shared by other teachers.
1. Click on the Notification bell icon at the top of the page.
2. Select the assignment you wish to open and click PREVIEW.
3. Click COPY ASSIGNMENT.
