1) How many students can be on a roster?
There is no strict limit, but we recommend 30–35 students per roster for best performance.
2) How many rosters can I have in Classkick?
You can have an unlimited number of rosters.
We recommend deleting or hiding old rosters to ensure your current Roster Dashboard is up-to-date.
3) Can students be on multiple rosters?
Yes, you can add students to another roster. Students can simultaneously be in multiple rosters at once.
If you are trying to add an existing student to a roster and can't, please see this help center article for some troubleshooting suggestions.
4) Can students have multiple teachers in Classkick, but have one account?
Yes! Students can join multiple teachers’ classes using a single Classkick account.
We recommend using a consistent login method (such as Google or the same username) to avoid duplicate accounts.

5) Why do I see duplicate students in my roster?
This usually happens when a student:
Logs in using a different method (Google vs Basic username)
-
Enters a different username
Ex. Alan vs. Alan S.
To prevent this from happening, we encourage you to lock the roster after all of your students have joined.
Learn more here: Lock a Roster
6) Can I merge student accounts?
No, accounts cannot be merged.
We recommend deleting the duplicate account and keeping one consistent login. Be sure to export the student work before deleting the account.

1. Click Rosters & Co-Teachers.

10) What does the error "Sorry, your work is open on another device" mean?
If your students are getting the error: "Sorry, your work is open on another device." when trying to log in, it means you have the Single Device Login feature selected for your roster.
- Single Device Login ensures that a student can only log in from one device.
- This error can also pop up if a student exits Classkick without signing out of their account in their prior session.
To give your students access, you will need to:
1. Turn Single Device Login OFF
2. Allow the student to log in
3. Turn Single Device Login back ON.

For visual instructions on hiding your roster, see this article: Hide and unhide rosters

Once your roster is finalized, we recommend locking the roster to prevent additional changes.
18) I accidentally made the wrong account type! How do I change it to the correct account?
If the wrong account type was created (for example, a Student account was created instead of a Teacher account):
1. Delete that account
Submit a Support Request if you need any support with this.
19) Why can't my student see their work?
This may happen if:
- They joined the wrong class
- They used a different username or account
- The assignment is not assigned to them
Please Submit a Support Request if you need additional support. Be sure to include the student's username and assignment name
20) My student transferred to another class period. Can I transfer their work from one roster to another?
Student work cannot be transferred between rosters.
Work is tied to the roster where it was completed. If you remove a student from a roster, you will no longer be able to view their work from that roster.
Option 1: Keep the student in both rosters
Students can be in multiple rosters at the same time.
This allows you to keep access to past work
NOTE: If you remove a student, you can re-add them to access their work.
Option 2: Export work before removing the student from the old roster
Export their work to PDF files before moving students to another roster.
